It’s always great to visit the home of designer and see how they work and how their homes are influenced by their style so it was great to get a commission to visit designer and artist Carol Lake to document her work for her new website launch.

An internationally established designer/maker Carol specialises in botanicals, drawing inspiration from the seasons and has worked with brands including Ted Baker and Lulu Guinness. Her studio is also a shop and her home. All housed in a beautiful old shop on an historical street in Norwich. The shop front itself is used a store for Carols designs and homewares which all sit nestled on shelves surrounded by period busts, mannequins and dolls heads. It was lovely to be left to wonder and photograph things and moments as they caught my eye. If you love botanicals and beautiful floral prints Carol’s work is well worth a look.
